Colores de Carol 2015 Winter/Holiday Collection Part 1

Greeting and Nailutations,

Hello!  I am getting through my Black Friday purchases (slowly).  What can I say?  I went a little crazy...I can't resist a 50% off sale!!  I was lucky to be quick enough to utilize a 50% off coupon to obtain the entire Winter Collection as well as a few others from Colores de Carol Hand Mixed Nail Lacquer.  The Winter Collection includes 8 polishes in an array of finishes (glitter jellies, glitter crelly, glitter bombs and holos).  This post will share the first 4.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Midnight Jewel, a gorgeous blue green holographic polish.  This is one of my favorites of the collection.  The formula applied perfectly and this color is amazing!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat in filtered light and simulated sunlight.

Next is a brown holographic polish with auburn hex micro glitter called Gingerbread Cupcakes.  I love the addition of the hex glitters.  It was smooth to apply and photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The white glitter crelly is called Juguetes (which means toys in Spanish).  Juguetes contains green and red matte hex glitters in two sizes and square glitters as well as red bars and iridescent hex, squares and flecks.  Photos show 3 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish I'll be sharing in this post is called Jelly Christmas, which is a deep blue glitter jelly.  Jelly Christmas contains hexes in a few sizes, large circles and small stars.  This polish dried very fast, so I had to work quickly to get even application.  With a black brush and dark formula it made glitter fishing a bit more difficult because everything blended together.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd, 4th and 5th photos).

Loves: Formulas on the glitter crelly and holos were perfection!  I also love that this collection has several different finishes - it makes it so that there is at least 1 polish (or 8) that is perfect for everyone.

Wishes:  One wish for Jelly Christmas is that I wish the glitters were easier to see through the formula.  I love the vision of the polish, but want the glitter to pop a little more for easier glitter fishing.

Anyone else still getting through holiday/winter polishes?

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka @beginnails
